Havana, Cuba (June 2011)

The pictures were taken at two locations: in front of the Hotel Copacabana in Miramar, Havana, and at a dive site called "Kilometer 35" which is about 35 km outside Havana direction Matanzas. Both dive sites are excellent for macro photography with very similar fauna. Since "km 35" is outside the city, the water is very clear and the corals and sponges look more healthy. The "Copacabana Diving Center" is located not far away from the water mouth of the Almendares River, and, depending on the current, the visibility can be low.
